Crewmate Tasks
Complete your duties to save the ship before the Impostor destroys everything.
Crewmate Tasks are the essential duties assigned to loyal crew members aboard various space stations and planetary outposts within the Among Us universe. These activities range from mundane maintenance like fixing wires or cleaning sewage to critical operations such as downloading data or calibrating life support systems. They serve as the primary method for Crewmates to prove their innocence, generate progress toward victory, and distinguish themselves from the Impostors who seek to sabotage these efforts.

Lore & Background
In the vast expanse of space where human survival hinges on cooperation, Crewmate Tasks represent the backbone of daily life aboard vessels like The Skeld, Mira HQ, and Polus. These tasks are not merely chores but vital procedures designed to keep life support systems running, navigation charts updated, and security protocols active. Without them, the ship would quickly drift into chaos or suffer catastrophic failure, leaving everyone stranded in the void.
In Their Own Story
The hum of the airlock was the only sound as Blue approached the electrical panel in Navigation. Wires hung loose, sparking dangerously against the dark metal floor. With steady hands, Blue began to align the red and blue cables, ignoring the shadow that had just flickered behind the doorframe. Every connection made brought the ship one step closer to safety, a small victory against the encroaching darkness. But as the final wire clicked into place, a sudden alarm blared from the comms system, signaling a new sabotage in Reactor. The work was never done; there was always another task waiting.
Reader's Guide
Crewmates must locate and complete all assigned tasks scattered across the map to achieve victory before the Impostors eliminate everyone or sabotage critical systems beyond repair.
Tasks are categorized by difficulty: short tasks take seconds, long tasks require more time, and visual tasks allow observers to see if a player is actually working. Completing these updates the global task percentage visible on the emergency meeting screen.
Impostors cannot perform real tasks but can fake them to deceive others or sabotage specific stations like electrical or oxygen to force Crewmates into vulnerable locations. This mechanic drives the social deduction aspect, as players must debate whether someone was faking a task or genuinely working while the Impostor tries to frame them.
Did You Know?
- Visual tasks are unique because they allow other players to see if you are actually completing the work, offering strong evidence of innocence.
- The specific tasks available change depending on which map you are playing on, such as Polus having more environmental hazards than The Skeld.
- If a Crewmate dies while performing a task, that progress is lost and must be restarted by another player.
- Some maps feature 'fake' tasks for Impostors to mimic, but these do not contribute to the actual completion percentage.
